The Law Office of William B. Lawson, P.C.

The Law Office of William B. Lawson, P.C. is an AV-rated* real estate law firm serving the entire Northern Virginia community. He specializes in helping builders, developers and owners maximize the value and the use of their properties by navigating them through the local legal and regulatory landscape with his knowledge of the law and the region.

We began shaping the Northern Virginia landscape in the 1950s, when our founder, William B. Lawson, Sr., opened his practice. He soon earned a reputation as one of the area’s pre-eminent land-use attorneys. Since then, we have continued to be at the forefront of development in this region, creating value for clients in a variety of ways: from gaining approval for large-scale mixed-use developments and high-rise residential buildings, to obtaining use permits and approvals for "in-fill” development.

Mr. Lawson's strength lies in his ability to combine the skill and expertise of a larger firm with the individual attention and personalized service of a small firm. This balance allows him to efficiently meet the needs of his clients from large-scale developers to individual property owners. Mr. Lawson has lived, worked and actively participated in the Northern Virginia community for decades, giving him a unique and intimate knowledge not only of the needs of his clients, but the concerns of the local governments with which he interacts daily.
