Melissa A. Zeller
Ms. Zeller is an experienced litigator, having appeared on behalf of her clients in state and federal courts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Her litigation practice includes contract matters, commercial and residential lease disputes and landlord-tenant issues.
Ms. Zeller is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and has appeared numerous times before the Virginia Supreme Court. Among her courtroom achievements, Ms. Zeller has acted as lead counsel in the successful defense of a local business against a 3.5 million dollar claim in Loudoun County Circuit Court. As a member of a two person trial team, she obtained summary dismissal of a 1.5 million dollar breach of lease claim against an Arlington commercial property owner and successfully prosecuted the owner's counterclaim in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Alexandria.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Zeller regularly counsels clients regarding contracts, risk management and business operations. She has been a member of the George Mason American Inn of Court, an Arlington-based organization of attorneys, judges and law professors, since 1997.
